Description
Bentonite clay is extracted from volcanic ash sediments by drying and then process of granulization and is also reffered as Montmorillonite, and it can be used externally as a clay poultice, mud pack, or in skin care recipes. Often referred as swelling clay owing to its property of getting spongy once mixed with water. When it is hydrated, the electrical and molecular components of the clay change and produce an electrical charge.
Extraction
Bentonite clay is sedimentary clay made of weathered and aged volcanic ash. It is collected from deposits from the earth, and then it is brought out into the sun to remove excess moisture, after the initial drying it gets processed (ground) with huge hydraulic crushers, and then goes through the final process of micronization, or “fine granulating.”

• PH ranges from – 8.5-10.5
• Particle size- US #200 mesh
