Description
Star Anise oil scientifically also known as Illicium verum.It is an evergreen tree attaining a height of 8-15 meters and a diameter of 25 cm. The leaves are 2.5 – 5 cm broad, 10-15 cm long, flowers are solitary, white to red in colour. Star Anise is indigenous to South Eastern China. It tolerates temperatures down to –10 degree C.
Extraction
Star Anise oil is extracted by the process known as steam distillation and CO2 Extraction.
Uses:
